1 - First Time Use
1 - Search for DMSS in your App Store and DOWNLOAD the app or down below:
3 - Click ALLOW when prompted to allow critical notifications.
5 - SWIPE to the left to cycle through the welcome screens.
7 - SWIPE to the left to cycle through the welcome screens.
9 - Click OK when prompted to select the region.
2 - Open the App and click on ALLOW When prompted to allow notifications.
4 - TICK the terms and conditions acknowledgement and click NEXT
6 - SWIPE to the left to cycle through the welcome screens.
8 - Click the ARROW to enter the App for the first time.
10 - Select the COUNTRY where the device is located and then click OK .
***You MUST select the correct Country***
2 - Creating an Account
1 - Click on SIGN UP.
3 - TICK the user agreement and then click on GET VERIFICATION CODE.
5 - INPUT the code you received by email.
2 - Input an EMAIL ADDRESS and PASSWORD you would like to use.
4 - Complete the CAPTCHA puzzle.
6 - The App will automatically log you in.
7 - You will be prompted to enable account security enhancement the first time you sign in. Click on VERIFICATION.
9 - Input the second CODE sent via email and click OK.
11 - Click CONFIGURE NOW to allow local network access.
8 - Complete the second CAPTCHA puzzle.
10 - Click ALLOW to allow DMSS to find local LAN devices.
12 - Ensure LOCAL NETWORK is enabled and then click the DMSS BACK ICON in the top left of the screen to go back to the DMSS App.
3 - Adding a Device
1 - Before adding your device to DMSS, You need to assign it an IP address. RIGHT CLICK on your mouse and click on MAIN MENU.
2 - Click on NETWORK.
3 - Click on TCP/IP and then click on the PENCIL ICON.
4 - Turn on DHCP (Yellow is on) and click OK.
5 - Click on APPLY.
6 - Click on P2P.
7 - Ensure your device is ONLINE.
If the status shows as offline, exit to the live view for a couple of minutes and check again.
8 - Click the PLUS SYMBOL in the top right.
10 - Click ALLOW when prompted to give DMSS access to your Phone's camera.
12 - Confirm the SERIAL NUMBER has been added to the App and then click NEXT.
14 - Give your device a NAME and enter its USERNAME and PASSWORD and click SAVE.
16 - Click the daylight savings time configuration shown as
03-01 00:00 ~ 11-01 00:00.
18 - Click NEXT.
20 - Click the PLAY SYMBOL to start the live view of the device.
22 - The live view will now appear. DOUBLE TAP any image to enlarge it to full screen.
9 - Select SCAN QR CODE.
11 - Scan the QR CODE on the device you are trying to add.
13 - Choose the DEVICE TYPE. In this example we are adding an NVR.
15 - Switch ON the TOGGLE SWITCH to enable daylight savings time.
17 - Set the START TIME and END TIME as shown above and click SAVE.
19 - Click GO TO HOMEPAGE.
(The device is now added).
21 - The first time the App streams video, you will receive a message about Wi-Fi connectivity. Click on ALWAYS.
23 - By default, the App will display the images in sub-stream (low quality). Click the SD button.
24 - Click on HD to change to main-stream (High-quality).
4 - Accessing Playback
1 - Starting on the live view of your chosen camera, click PLAYBACK.
2 - Playback will begin, SLIDE the green bar to run through the footage recorded for the current day starting from midnight. You can click in the CALENDAR to select different days.
3 - Click the FILTER button to select different types of playback events.
4 - Choose the EVENT TYPE you would like to search for.
5 - The playback menu will only display your chosen EVENTS.
5 - Setting up Notifications
1 - Starting from the home screen, click the THREE DOTS next to your device.
2 - Click on DEVICE DETAILS.
3 - Click on MESSAGE.
5 - Tick RECEIVE MESSAGES AND RECEIVE NOTIFICATIONS. Click on ALARM MESSAGE TYPE.
7 - Switch on the TOGGLE SWITCH next to your chosen camera and then click the BACK ARROW.
9 - DMSS will open to the message menu, click on the PLAY SYMBOL .
4 - Click the notification toggle switch to ON.
6 - CHOOSE the type of event you would like receive the notification from.
8 - When a notification is received CLICK on it.
10 - The notification video will begin to play.
6 - Reviewing Historical Notifications
1 - Starting from the camera you would like to review event from, click on EVENTS.
2 - Click on any EVENT listed to begin playback of that event.
7 - Sharing Devices
1 - Starting from the home screen, click the THREE DOTS next to your device.
2 - Click on SHARE DEVICE.
3 - INPUT the EMAIL ADDRESS of the DMSS user you would like to share and set the PERMISSIONS you would like to grant access to and then click OK.
4 - Click OK when prompted to confirm the sharing.
5 - DMSS will CONFIRM the sharing request.
6 - You can see CURRENT SHARED USERS at the bottom of the share devices page.
8 - Revoke Sharing
1 - Starting from the home screen, click the THREE DOTS next to your device.
2 - Click on SHARE DEVICE.
3 - Click the THREE DOTS next to the shared user you would like to revoke access from.
5 - Click OK to confirm the cancellation request.
4 - Click on CANCEL SHARING.
6 - DMSS will CONFIRM that sharing has been cancelled.
